Now Available ~ Pastured Pork

We are very excited to finally have Pastured Pork to offer!  We spent several years seeking a farmer who would raise Pastured Pork to our specifications and our search has finally paid off.

These hogs are raised on 1-acre plots with Bermuda Hay as their primary feed source.  With that they will receive a small portion of grain and produce.  Classified as "lean hogs", these are not being "fed out" to reach maximum weight as quickly as possible.  These hogs will be processed at a maximum weight of about 240 pounds.  Package weight per side will average somewhere between 55-80 pounds of pork depending on the live / rail weight of the hog.

Our family tried this product over the Memorial Day 2008 holiday weekend to ensure it would meet with our expectations and we were so thrilled with the flavor!

Pastured Pork will be available by the whole or by the side.  Cuts will include the following:

~ Pork Chops or Pork Tenderloin
~ Spare Ribs or Baby Back Ribs
~ Pork Steaks
~ Pork Roasts
~ Sausage 
~ Ham Hocks

The sausage seasoning mix has been hand selected and contains no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, no preservatives and no MSG, BHA, BHT or TBHQ.  Just delicious seasonings that your taste buds will love.

Pork is available the months of February, March, July, September, and November.
